这个租客签lease之后要求刷墙,说是By law得给新租客刷房子。我给她房租已经降了200块了,没答应她刷墙,告诉她可以退出租约。结果他们又不退。后来又是要求换锁,又是说马桶冲不干净, 都换了。
后来又说水有问题,她每天都在外面背水回来。。。要她拿出证据说水怎么不好了,又拿不出来。
这次lease到期了说要换成month by month,我和她说这里租房很seasonal, 不好租,所以不想换成month by month.如果她可以租6个月以上,我可以考虑但是房租涨10%。 结果她回信说这不legal。大家觉得这样的租客怎么办?总觉得她说话不可信,但是总拿legal来压人。
Thank you for getting back to me. I’m not exactly sure how to take or understand how rental in Seattle is seasonal. My sister that is a landlord of multiple properties, her and I have discussed rental options. As you know right now in Seattle with everything that’s going on with the COVID-19 so many tenants are not even paying rent. As a matter of fact rents have been frozen for months due to the current situation and the virus.
Personally, I believe you should feel extremely lucky that you have a tenant that takes care of your house like it’s ours, constantly cleaning and taking care of it rarely bothering you with any maintenance concerns considering the condition of the house and how outdated it is.
I am also a bit disappointed that you would consider raising the rent by 10% during a pandemic which again has never been done and I do believe this might not even be legal considering the circumstances..
My sister currently has two tenants that have not paid rent since April. So many landlords are suffering due to bad tenants and I feel as though we have gone above and beyond to love and take care of your home. We are simply asking to move onto month-to-month payment with giving you a month to two month notice upon leaving.
