PNC(branch office) in San Diego was original La Jolla Bank (fail

La Jolla Bank(only 3 branches) failed in 2010 and was bought by One West Bank.

One West Bank was originally Indy Mac Bank in Southern CA.

IndyMac Bank was the first bank taken over by FDIC  in July 2008.

That Friday I was on a flight back to USA from Italy.

I was lucky because I lowered my bank balance to less than $100K in IndyMac before I left for Europe in June.

John Paulson is one of the investor taking over IndyMac.

PNC bought One West Bank recently.
