I have to call it bullshit! Grand parents are not

All trustworthy. Some of them are garbage. While I was in china, one day I was half asleep in the living room of my parents' condo which is located on the sixth floor of a large condo complex, a sharp cry-out woke me up. I went on to the balcony to look out, I couldn't believe what I was seeing: a 4-5 years old boy was lying on the ground of the courtyard under the noon-day sun, an old lay was beating him with a wood stick. An older girl was around and crying too. She seemed like the boy's sister. The old lay kept hitting the boy. The boy had been calling ”mum" all the time and curled up to avoid the stick which hit all over his body at a tense pace. He moved around and pleaded for pity. I was shocked, furious and couldn't help myself shouting “stop”. I put on a dress which barely properly covered my body and rushed out to intervene. There were some adults out in the courtyard but nobody even said anything to stop this ugly act. I grabbed the lady's arms and shouted at her to stop immediately otherwise I would report to the police. She insulted me but definitely walked away. I, together with the sister, pulled the boy up. He was badly hit and cried loud. I asked who was the lady, he said she was his paternal grandma.
