need help on reset wechat password

I recently changed my cell phone so I have to sign in WeChat again but I don't remember pw.
when i try to retrieve my password or reset it, it was asking for my full name and ID number, like citizen id or passport number?? is this right? I don't remember having to provide it before?? anyone had to do this before? plz help. I don't want to lose my account because I have a lot of personal posting there.
