八月流星雨，银河极光相伴

8月12日一夜无眠，去安省北部的Dark-Sky Preserve地区，观赏英仙座流星雨的精彩天象。这是专为天文观象而保留的地区，在一个小湖周围，有着上万年的巨型岩石，可以在上面360度无障碍地看星空，视野开阔。当然，这里很少人为的光污染。五年前的8月，我们也曾经到此地观赏流星雨，但是没有能够拍下它的轨迹，一直是个遗憾。

流星雨(Meteor Shower)是地球在绕着太阳公转的过程中，和彗星的碎片流交互作用造成的结果。某个彗星在轨道上每接近太阳一次，就会有一些冰被蒸发和倾卸出一些小冰块，当这些小冰块高速进入地球的大气层时，就会产生亮光。

每年都有许多流星雨，但只有两次大规模的。一次是12月的双子座流星雨(Geminid meteor shower)，另一次是8月的英仙座流星雨(Perseids meteor shower)。英仙座流星雨的母天体是斯威夫特－塔特尔彗星，每年的8月12日是高峰期，每分钟至少会出现一颗流星，流星的数量没有双子座多，但是更为明亮壮观。

今年8月12日夜晚，天空晴朗无云，恰好无月亮，流星雨会伴着银河呈现。我一早就在微信的朋友圈里发预告，有两个摄友感兴趣响应。天时地利人和，自然不能错过。 太阳落山后，只见大大小小的流星，时不时静静地划过夜空，神秘而引人遐思。但是，用相机记录快如闪电的流星，却需要耐心和运气。令人惊喜的是，相机竟然还捕捉到了北极光！当晚预报的极光是三级，我当时一心一意地盯着一颗颗划过天际的流星，并没有注意到极光。当然强度弱的极光，肉眼是根本看不见的。后来看照片，才发现自己人品还不错，极光给流星、银河增添了美丽的色彩。

流星、极光加上银河，算是没有白熬一夜，终于如愿以偿。
