If the half of your SS amount is higher, Suggest that your wife takes it at the age 62 if you two are about the same age. when you take yours, she will switch to take the half amount of yours. This is a loophole of social security, which may be closed in the future. but until it is closed, you may calculate how you get more, such as she will take at age 62, you will take at age 70 etc...
