I don't like milk powder, seems artificial.

I save it in a tight plastic cookie jar, cutting the loaf into a few pieces.
You can buy a bread saver from Amazon for the whole loaf.
It does get a little harder after a while, I'd say crispy after warmed up in oven.
We add whole egg on top for breakfast, or sliced butter and garlic salt for dinner.
