My point is: whether you are rich or poor, you will live together at the end.  $7000 a month, how long you tell last?  The only difference is, I think, you do not need the lottery.  You can move in sooner than the poor.  That is it.  My friend is a very good girl for her mom.  But she can not take care of her.  Goverment will monitor all the money and make sure you are poor before they decide to put you in MediCal.
