At very early stage of the storm, everyone was very tense with quiet optimum. We have been out chasing for more than a week without any luck. There was a lot pressure on the instructor. No one wanted to jinx our last opportunity of the trip.
Once formation of the supercell was confirmed, I felt relieved that my money didn’t gone wasteJ and ramped up excitement. Excitement turned to awe, as the massive cloud started rotation to create this pancake/UFO shape, with the wind shifted direction to suck toward the storm(I had to brace myself a little being drag into it), with increased frequency of CC and CG lightning. I had to keep reminding myself to breath.
Slight disappointment slipped in when the supercell slowly dissipated and turned into a typical severe thunderstorm.
