not enough Extra-curriculars to apply Ivy?

My son doesn't have lots of extra-curriculars (CC). He only attend one club. The reason is we live far away from his school and both my hu*****and and I have to work from 8 to 5. Nobody can pick him up if he attends club. Does that mean he has no chance to apply any Ivy school? It seems at least one parent should stay home. Your kids can not only apply for financial aid but also can attend any clubs he/she want to attend.
