IRA 问题

请问我把原来公司401k换成了IRA.现在应该是traditiona IRA 吧?我是否有必要把他换成roth ＩＲＡ.除了先交税,以后不用交.另外有什么好处．可以提前取出吗？

另外,我是在vanguard买IRA.你们有什么fund推荐吗.不知道是买index fund, mutual fund, 还是ETF好.Thanks in advance for any of your input,
