there is plenty of posts online(dpreview, youtube, lensrental, nikonrumor,...). I don't disagree there could be an issue, however, its severity may be greatly exaggerated.

To me, the current d600 package deal is well worth the risk on this issue. So, I just ordered it from Amazon for $1785 including shipping and tax. Another 24-85VR lens will be up for sale soon:)
