As a sale person, you must work under a broker. You pay a lot of $$$ before making anything: education, license, insurance, MLS access, key, continuing education etc. You also have to pay broker per transaction, sometimes up to 50% for new guys. So unless you want to buy a lot of houses, it's not worth to get a license.
