For finance contigency, it really depends how your contract specify. Usually, if you have a finance contigency, you need to notify the seller your loan application is either approved or declined. If approved, you proceed to the settlement. If declined, you terminate the contract and get your deposit back. If you don't do anything, then the seller can assume your loan is approved.
