You should report this money to IRS next year in your Tax return as a gift. You don't need to pay tax, since everybody in US has 1 million $ gift quota in his/her life time, your left gift quota will be 1mil - 60K. IRS needs this number to trace your gift quota. After you use up all those 1mil gift quota, then you need to pay tax to IRS.
