回复：加州为什么破产？

Are you Californian? If so, don't you think we have been taxed ENOUGH?????

Nevada don't even have income tax and sale tax is much lower...California's tax rate is NOT low comparing to other states in US!!

It doesn't matter how much the government increase state tax, if a government cannot control its budget it will broke!! Have you seen some family(1 couple + 2 boys) on housing assistant getting $2,200/mon rent allowance??? Have you seen some people on SSI driving nice cars??? Have you seen people get food stamps while having investment properties???

It is the SYSTEM who bankrupted California!! The entitlement and welfare!! Who wants to work hard if you can get those type of government assistance? Government does NOT have responsiblity to provide luxury to the people who rely on the system-it is TAX PAYERS' $$$!!! But nobody cares because it is NOT from their OWN pocket!! Politicans waiste tax payers' $$ to make unsustainable promises, in return they can remain in power!(They promised Union that state/city employees can get 50-90% pension after they retire at age of 55 AND they can get another paying job in government entity, it is not sustainable.)

If California increase tax substaincially it will trigger protests, because in the end the group who get hurt the most is middle class.
