Verlander was tough last night, armed w/ an 101mph fastball, 88~89mph changeup and an 80mph curve. Yanks played a good game, in fact. They managed to score 4 times against him. Soriano made a mistake to Young. It cost the ball game.
CC has been off lately. Hard to get a win from him these days. Sigh...
Nobody knows which AJ we will get tonight. Hopefully, he could find a way to turn the clock back a few years, then we would beat Tigers in NY.
Last night, the strike zone was very tight. It had more impact on CC. Verlander had better stuff than CC last night. He was able to put his pitches in the middle of plate and still got away.
Doug Fister is a real deal. His two seamers move a lot at the plate. Also, his changeup and curve are very good. Even if the Yanks can bring the series back to NY, game 5 is still a very tough game to win.
Let's go Yankees.
