1. brown 1 lb ground beef for 3-4 minutes,no oil needed, drain grease, set aside
2. chop some red onion, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, clove of garlic, fry w/drops of olive oil till onion turns translucent
3. mix #1 and #2, add one can of chilli beans, one can of diced or stewed tomato, 1 can of tomato paste(6oz), chilli powder, ground cumin, pinch of salt, stir well
4. dump into your slow cooker or pressure cooker, set on low on slow cooker if time is not a concern. On high if you need it be done sooner.
I used my pressure cooker and it only takes <15 minutes to cook till well done.
This is a 6 servings recipe so I reduced it to half amount,i.e.just 1/2 lb beef,1/2 can of everything else. You may taste it to determine how much salt and chilli powder to add.
BTW, electric pressure cooker is such a good investment, cooking is like a breeze! Mine is not the digital kind but I'm utterly happy with it. I'll donate my old crockpot to Salvation Army. My hu*****and said I had to give it up since there's a new cookware purchased. So be it!
