No. 1 Question: Program error?
No. 2 Question: Cooking 粥 takes much longer time to release pressure since the steam contains some glue materials to block the vent hole. Actually, most of the time for cooking rice and 粥 is spent on the pressure release. On my machine, it takes about 40 minutes total time to do the job. Timewise, it is better to cook 粥 over stove. But one has to stand there to take care of it.
When cooking meat and vegitables, the steam contains no or lettle glue thing, pressure release time is much short. For example cooking 红烧牛肉 takes about about 30 minutes only.
