Update: N. VA low end houses inventory up and price drop

I posted a week ago complaining about no house listed for $200K-$280. Not any more. More houses came up and some houses dropped their price, sales slow. Looks like the tax stimulation did pump the price up before. However, compared to the price at the end of 2009, the price is still up a bit.

What seemed ridiculous to me is that a short sale house previously asked $349K for tax assessment of $260, stayed in the market for 2 months and now asked for $275K. What was the owner thinking? No wonder they went short sale.
