be better. If you decide to pay less every month and pay slowly, that's your intention, certainly, you need to pay more interest. That's not a waste, that's on purpose.

If it is no point, no fee (no cost) refinance, any interest decrease will have benefit for you if you keep paying the same amount every month and use the extra payment as your additional principle.
