According to Phil, Artest is the MVP of game 7. Kobe acknowledged the team effort and said the team "picked him up" but I was disappointed that he only praised the "Spaniard", but failed to mention Ron, Fish, LO, and Bynum for playing hurt. This was an ultimate team game, the whole team came through by playing hard-nosed defense.
First off, Ron. I've been a big Artest supporter and am just so happy to see him get a ring. QUEENSBRIDGE!!!!!!!!!!This guy's interview is an instant classic. He thanked his psychiatrist, his hood, hahaha. Did he thank his wife?
LO came up big too, again, thanks to the hood and, QUEENSBRIDGE!
And then, back to KB. Piss poor decision, one of his worst games I've ever seen. He made that up by playing great defense and securing boards. But still, I think he was just too anxious, too impatient to run the offense. When he was making moves, he was indecisive and dribbled too much.
KB was on just now and when he was asked what the significance of this ring is. He said, I got one more than Shaq. Hahaha, now I forgive him. I really don't think it was his composure, or maturity or the lack of them. He is, throughout his career the most cold-blooded assassin of the game. I guess he just wanted it too much so he rushed too much. But then, Phil was also responsible and he should've called time-outs to call plays for the other guys. He should've also benched KB to calm him down a little.
But at the end, this is a team game and it feels so great that the TEAM beat the team that punked them big time last time.
Payback is a BIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATCH!!!!
