Both have advantages. So if not getting both, I would get the one with longer zoom: Olympus sp-800uz.

Although you can get to 952mm with 1.7x with Sony HX1, the image quality would be worse once you put 1.7x on, and aperture would be smaller (so you lose shutter speed which is very important).
