This article missed bokeh effect

You can also get an idea of the bokeh from the MTF charts. Here is my explanation: if the two lines (solid and dashed) are close to each other, it means the blur will be similar in both directions, producing circularly symmetric bokeh -> good bokeh.

For the two MTF charts posted above, the bokeh on the right side will be better at full aperture because the two green lines are closer to each other.
