I am in a very similar situation: ERP implementation, golive-post, production support in the last 2 years. And the group are 90%-yes 90% 老印. That is their typical game strategy. You have to work with you boss to establish your scope of responsibility, and defend it wisely, quietly but firmly. Otherwise, you will have problems in long run.
老印 have different focus than us in a smart way. Their first priority is to survive in long run. They only work on tasks if they are important to their priority. Otherwise, they won't work on anything at all.
I understand there are exceptions. But trust me, I have been working in ERP consulting for more than 15 years, and I've worked with enough 老印, good, and bad. Majority of them fit in what I said. So you need to act, fast.
Good luck.
