Going to vacation will gain you some (or not going to vacation will cost you some). In general, having your own inspector is better if you can find a good inspector. However, if you have a good agent, then in general the agent can find you a better inspector. So in general you need to compare pros and cons of everything and the results will be determined by your judgement, how hard you work, and luck.
