We are in a strange situation.We gave an offer and got outbid cos someone else gave higer bid,later the listing agent called my agent said that the last buyer is a fraud so she wanted to know if we are still interested,so later we gave20,000 more but 10,000 less than the last buyer and the seller took it and signed the executed contract.Now the problem is the last buyer didn't sign to release the last escrow so we can't open a new excrow .but the listing agent consulted the attorney and figured out that the last excrow is not offical cos the dopsit check the last buyer gave is a fraud,so they think they can go ahead and open a new one with us without the last buyer's release signature and we are wondering that if it is legal and we are about to give our10,000 deposit check to the new escrow company and we don't want to get involved in future any kind of lawsuit.Please give some of opinion about this.Thanks a lot!The other thing is we are going to do home inspection tomorrow,is it too rush when we are in the middle of this mess.We appreciate any help!
