about it. I like Ariza a lot, but I think his agent mis-handled this situation too much.

Lakers first throw full middle level. I heard that Ariza is looking at 7/8 million a year. His agent David Lee should have kept the conversation open and tried to meet middle point like 6m or something like that. Instead of keep negotiation alive, David Lee immediately arranged the meeting with Rockets, Cavaliers etc to increase the leverage in the negotiation. Unfortunately, it is back-fired. It is overplayed IMHO.

David Lee last year overplayed Elton Brand's free agency and created a huge drama.

Ariza was nobody 5 month ago and was a journey-man in the league. I put the blame on his agent David Lee. He mishandled the negotiation.
