It depends. Director's salary

varies a lot from one company to another. Company's total revenues, revenues his team expects to make, company's cost structure, etc, all together determine how much a director should be paid.

Aside from the company's current situation, value of your hu*****and's expertise makes difference too. A company in the process to expand its business would be happy to offer big salary to a sales people, while a company whose core value lies on new product development definitely well compensates its R&D staff.

It is difficult to throw out a number without thinking over.
