给你一些其它的信息,也许对你以后的面试有用：一般中小型CPA firm人员的分工不是象４大那么细。在这类firm里， 作税的大部分不是只作一种税，而是be involved all kinds of taxes including taxes for individual/corporate/partnership/estate/trust/gift/retirement, etc.。而作公司税的不作个人税的很少， 特别是在税季. 在中小型firm里， 作税的人sometiems还要作financial statement review/compilation（当然， 这是比较高级的活） and audit, too. 所以，我其实觉得在刚工作或自己没多少经验时， 进这类firm其实学的更多 as long as u r not required to do bookkeeping/bank reconciliation only, etc for more than 3 months in the firm.我记得我找工作时， 我连intern都没作过（我在国内是学英文和地理的）， 但经过一年的在这类firm锻炼之后，我完全不象新手,很enjoy.
所以， 如果你以后还有面试机会时， 遇到这类问题， 你可以根据职位的要求来说为什么你没留在４大，such as:
1.there was no opening that time due to big laid off at Big 4; or,
2.I want to be involved in various kinds of tax returns to learn more, but at Big 4, I can only be involved in individual tax; or,
3.I like to work in mid-sized, or small-sized firms because I can have chances to be exposed to variety of jobs; or
4. I like to do individual tax, but I am more interested in doing corporate taxes;
