Arcadia (LA) housing market?

We will move to LA soon and will work in downtown area. Seems like Arcadia is still in good communit range. How is housing market there now? Still need to bid for house?

We don't really like there. We like newer subdivision like Diamond Bar area. But it's way too far from work.

Anybody has any other suggestions?
