Totally agree. Citi's mgr really had a lot of problems in the pa

1. buying Traveller at high price and selling/seperating later at low;
2. Grubba, Citi's telecom analyst went into T's board mtg & suggesting $120 billion takeover of Media One and later sold for $10 billion. T later aquired by SBC for less than $20 billions. Citi paid hefty Class action againt Grubba;
3. Citi 头脑发热 purchased Provident Financial - aquired huge subprime accounts
--- Net I do not see a good acquisition from Citi in the past. Look at BAC - acquired Lesalle, JPM - acquired Bank One - all good assets.
4. Japan in the past 10 yrs is a financial ass hole. Citi instead of selling asset and retrieving from Japan, it keeps Japan's unit and keeps losing money. Except taking 0 interest deposit from JPN consumer what is the benefit being there?
