government will directly purchase foreclosures and excess inventories. There shouldn't be more than $1 trillion of those stuffs anyway.

Then the government will rent them out as "affordable housing" and keep rents low for years to come. BTW, rent is the largest component of the CPI, so you know where I'm getting at.
