回复：I think carpet is better for kids room, hardwood is too hard

the current carpet is a brand new carpet which I just upgraded when I bought this new house 6 months ago. The reason I still decide to change to wood floor is because it's too hard to do a clean when the small kid had accident for their pee or poo or viomitting on the carpet when he's sick.
