今年工作特别忙,好容易盼到假期,想休息两天,便决定不PARTY了,一家三口,过一个清清静静的感恩节。说实话,来美快二十年了,这还是第一次自己在家过感恩节呢:)
接到儿子说就要动身回家过节电话,就赶快去买了一个火鸡腌上了。今天一大早起来,先烧水烫火鸡:

这回买了个特别大的,有20来磅呢! 锅不够大~~~那也难不住咱:)) 就这样,用两个锅烧水。放鸡的那个只烧小半锅水,开后各加一勺苏打粉(baking soda)、蜂蜜和醋。然后把鸡放进去,再用杯子把另外一个锅里的水舀着浇上去~~~那边锅里的水满了,再舀回来烧开,再浇淋在鸡身上~~~如此反复,5-10分钟(看鸡的大小)。最后捞出来晾4-5个小时,400度再烤3-5小时(也是看鸡的大小)就可以了。

三个人当然吃不完,故意买这么大的鸡,是因为儿子特别喜欢这种烤法。刚才把剩下的全部拆下装好冻起来了~~~过完节给他带回学校慢慢吃呢:))
