Try to find the salary range for the position.
You got a layoff now. Your past salary was gone. Forget what was your previous salary, get whatever you can get.
Try to talk with the company, say you really like the job. Let them offer whatever they feel happy to offer and match with your experience and their budget. If they ask you for a number, discus with them, figure out a number which is acceptable for both you and them.
