Keep a safe distance from the car in front of you.

Press the gas pedal or the brake gently like a lady. Do not stop or accelerate abruptly. Get up early and give yourself plenty of time to drive. Stay calm even if you car turns 180 degree and facing the incoming traffic! That could happen on an icy road in the morning. Do not fight against the steering wheel. Once the car skips on ice, let it go and it will stop eventually. That's it is so important to keep a safe distance from the car in front of you.

Lastly, you will be fine after driving the same route for a week. Trust me. The winter will come to an end next year.
