Considering my case, I DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE when I started looking for jobs.
If you are in Canada, Civil Engineering has a bright prospect, at least brighter than Mechanical, that's what I think.
Go to your professional association (if have any) and network with people with the same background as you.
