事事无常

Just a few weeks ago, I wrote a post about our company changing its focus and my project became a "distraction". Some dramatic changes happened only a few days ago that the supposed "core" program being spun out. The group working on the program will be spun out as well. It was a big surprise to everyone, even our VP. Only a week ago I had a meeting with him to try to get funding for my project. I can tell clearly at that time he had no idea about this drastic change.

Can only say things can change so fast! Not that my days would be any easier, so I am not gloating. I feel sorry for those people who dedicated their whole effort to the program.

On the other side, this may actually be a good thing. A group can function more freely when getting venture capital investment. I wish I could have this luxury! best wishes!
