If you like to make a choice between IT and accounting. I will say accounting.

Flexible work schedule may be an important factor for you. I am think about that you might be able to do some bookkeeping at home as a contractor. IT may be a better area to look for some projects. However, if you don't have IT experiences, it is a difficult task. For bookkeeping or tax, you might start with some part time to get experiences and turn yourself to a contractor.

It is a difficult decision. Good luck!
