DIGGING A HOLE: About getting along with BOSSES

I read many posts about building a healthy relationship with managers. They help me a lot. Basically, there are several constructive ideas:
1. Respect
2. Being slaves
3. Follow
4. Be positive
...
...

Let me start my friends' experiences. This happaned two years ago. One day, two of my wife's classmates came to visit us. They were accountants. Then we started to discuss the relationship with upper managers. Both of them got along with their managers well. They told me that they never questioned their supervisors' decisions. They did whatever their managers told them. I asked them if they were happy in the current position. Their answers were "no". They felt like they were on the bench all the time. Their managers never discussed with them about work. They thought they were on the edge of the team. They were always last ones to know any decisions or changes.

What is healthy supervisor relationship? I cannot answer the quesstions. I hope XDJM here to help me out.

Why do we need a healthy supervisor relationship? I cannot answer it either.

Is master-slave a healthy supervisor relationship? If you are the slave, are you happy being salves?

Let's move to the manager's point of view. Why do managers need to build a healthy relationship with other team members? What kind subordinates do managers like in their team?
