First, you have to involve in the conversation. Second, you should speak out. Third, if you have troubles to understand them, you can ask. Fourth, if you have problems to speak out, you can ask for help. Proactivity is key to improve your English. I always ask others to correct my mistakes. They help me a lot. Don't be afraid!!!
