You can calculate. However, for general people, this is like to compare roth IRA with IRA. unless you think that your tax rate in the future (after age 59.5) will be lower, Roth is always better. I think that in the future tax rate will go up. I would rather choose Roth 401k (if offered) and Roth IRA. Of course, high income people cannot contribute to Roth IRA, which is another story.
