You can always buy Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 if money is a problem. This lens is almost as good as the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 ("almost" means you cannot tell the difference unless you print your photo in poster size, 20"x30" or larger).

As many pointed out, f/4 is too slow for indoor action shots: sports, performing arts, etc.
