try this first...

in Photoshop, go to Edit>Color settings>Working Spaces, click the drop down menu for RGB, select the profile for your monitor if you have installed the monitor driver(for example: Monitor RGB - Dell 1704FPV Color Profile). Otherwise select sRGB, open a picture then click View>Proof Setup>Monitor RGB
