How to tell an ultra "nice" dirty old boy(DOB) to f**k off?

I started this new job.

There is a mid aged guy who is not in my team, but in a parallel team, showed great interest and unsolicitated care to me:

He say hello a couple of times a day when he passed my cube.
Sometimes, when he gets to talk to me he is very wordy, and makes the conversation really long.

He also check in with me whether everything is fine, whether I have got all my passwords to access some resources (on my first day, I made a mistake by telling him, I have not yet got all my password).

He took the initiative to load a lot of training documents on a flash disc (they are in the internal network, which I can not access yet) and give it to me ("I have a gift to you!"), eventhough, I insisted he should not bother.

It might not hard to imagine, how annoying the unsolicited care is! What shall I do to get rid of him?

(By the way, I made sure he knows I am married.)
