回一封快要被据的position怎么回答好,help!

我最近申请了一个testing职位，是熟人介绍的。可是经过面试后。他们并不满意。MANAGER给我回信说" My feeling is that your current technical level
is sufficient to work in that position, but it would require rather a
long period of training as you do not have experience in engineering
software testing. I also feel that this entry testing position is not
quite suitable for you."事实上，我有PHD　物理,MS Computer Engineering　。我觉得这种工作对我简直太简单了。可他们却这样说. I know the position is still open. Anybody please give me suggestion how to reply this letter so that I can get this position? Thanks.

PS, My hu*****and is a expert of that software.
