我周围的老美同事都是两三个月就送day care了。

女性如果不打算终生作stay at home Mom,一定不要轻易在没有established的情况下，就在家生孩子带孩子。这样等孩子少大以后，女性如果重涉职场，找工作的难度相当大。　Entry level的工作是给那些eager and energetic的年轻人准备的。

everything has a trade off. As much as a single woman with high income should not feel sorry that she missed the golden age of "reproduction", a Mom with not much work experience shouldn't feel too frustrated if no descent jobs come along after kids grow up.

To elaberate my point, when one makes decisions to stay at home for your family, one should be fully prepared for the challenges yet to come. Don't take your career development too lightly, unless you are sure (about your hu*****and's reliable income, or how much you desire from life material wise). Because sadly there is really hardly an opportunity for U-Turn in life.

I am all for family oriented women. Don't take me wrong on that one. Just see quite several posts from Moms feeling very rejected searching for jobs.
