Use the $5000 to hire a housekeeper, find a good realtor to sell your house, find a temporary home and move with your family. When the house is sold, you just needed to go back and sign the paper. I did not need to go back, just nortarized my signature and sent back to the realtor and the deal was closed smoothly.
40% jump is really nice, unless you are much underpaid now. Good luck. (It seems between E and C in Canada. I was in E)
