technician & doctor

I am a Ph.D student in molecular biology, it is my 4th year now, after my second baby born, I feel my work boring everyday, and i do not like to read article like before,maybe technician work is good for two chrildren's mother, how much the salary difference between a technician and ph.D on molecular biology area?
